"In the old days we would hike up Mount Bohemia in ski boots and carry our skis and poles. The boot trail would traverse upward packed into place by the few who had the stamina and drive to hike up 900 vertical feet multiple times to ski the best terrain in the Midwest. It was an exhausting on the way up and exhilarating on the way down. We would ski the "face" for warm up then get into the gnarly back-country to experience cliffs, pine glades and ever present snow-snakes. Of course you were not doing your part if you did not venture to bohemia in the Fall to help clear tree runs of heavy brush. That was really fun."

- Old school Bohemite (J.F.)
